Rollington Barn is PAW’s collective exhibition showcasing the fantastic range of creative talent tucked away in Purbeck. Here, dramatic sculpture, bold paintings and fine jewellery rub shoulders with beautiful ceramics, prints, glass, greetings cards, and photography from over 100 artists taking part in this year’s festival. Artwork displayed at Rollington can be purchased and taken away on the day. We accept cash, cheques and most credit and debit cards. Some of the exhibiting artists will be present each day and will be happy to chat about their work.
Rollington provides a mere hint of what can be discovered by visiting one of our Open Studios. Artists love visitors, whether or not they have cash to spend, and everyone is warmly welcome. It’s a unique opportunity to see artists in their working environments, take a glimpse into their creative processes and ask what inspires them. Keep your brochure as a valuable contact point with artists all year round so next time you need a unique wedding present or special gift you know who to call.
On the barn door a large map can help you find your way around all the Open Studios and Events, with information on the full range of concerts, talks and films taking place in the evenings. Free Brochures and Event Programmes (£2) are available.
There is also a delightful display of some of the incredible art created by students from local schools as part of our Purbeck Young Artists scheme – based on the 2018 Festival theme of ‘Movement’.
If you would like to win some artwork of your choice by one of our PAW 2018 artists remember to pick up a competition postcard from Rollington, an Open Studio, or any evening event and make sure you get it signed!
