For the last 11 years I’ve immersed myself in the joy and creative potential of the wonderful medium of glass.
I make traditional stained glass windows and Kiln formed ‘fused’ glass art and I have been very lucky to have won awards for my fused art.
I use colour palettes that are bold yet simple and I love how light passing through the glass transmits its colours and textures onto nearby surfaces. One particular aspect of fusing glass I wonder at is the magic that happens in the kiln, the alchemy of some colours which cause them to change during the firing process to become more vibrant or even totally different all help to bring the artwork to life and I never tire of it.
For me creativity comes in many forms but the joy of taking my clients’ ideas and inspirations for their commissions and turning them into a truly unique piece of art or a window is really wonderful.
