I am a ceramicist, working from home in Broadstone, Dorset. I studied Ceramics at Poole College from where I obtained my City and Guilds in Design and 3D Art (Ceramics) in 2006. I work with Earthenware, Stoneware and Porcelain, using slip, coils and slabs with an infusion of oxides and glazes. I have also explored the fun of pit firing. Many of my pieces are linked intrinsically with Dorset and the river Stour with my use of local grasses and plants. I have had several exhibitions, notably at the Mill House in Illminster and the Red House Museum, Christchurch. I sell through local businesses and most recently have been asked to join the group of “local artists” that sell through the shop at Stourhead for the National Trust. Photographs of my pieces can be found on my Facebook page: Lynne Dinmore Sun Lounge Ceramics, although I trade normally under the name : LYNNE DINMORE CERAMICS.
