Thank you to everybody who came together to make this year’s festival so vibrant, uplifting and inspiring; and to our supporters and visitors who came and enjoyed all the art and music with us, and to those who attended workshops and the talk.

We are grateful to all of you for making it happen whether you opened your studio, played at one of our concerts, exhibited your artwork, volunteered your time, performed, or were part of the organisation behind it.

We can’t wait to see what next year brings for our 25th anniversary!

PAW 2027 FESTIVAL DATES 29 May – 13 June

If you would like to get involved with PAW 2027 you are welcome to join us as a volunteer, or you may like to become a Friend in readiness for our spring series of chamber music concerts, or you might even wish to donate whatever you can afford to support our programmes with young people.  If you would like to find out more please go to ‘Get Involved’ on this website, or get in touch with Jo at info@purbeckartweeks.co.uk

Purbeck Art Weeks
This International Charity Day, we wanted to celebrate our work with local young people ✨👏Through our Purbeck Young Artists scheme, we help bring creative workshops into local classrooms - giving children the opportunity to explore their creativity, build confidence and express themselves through art. As part of PYA this year we have:🌱 Worked with all schools in the Purbeck area (15 primary, 3 secondary and 2 alternative providers)🌱 Worked with over 500 students🌱 Worked with 7 artists to facilitate workshops🌱 Helped 38 students try performing arts through singing workshops and the Whispering Dome performanceA huge thank you to Sophie Jenkins and other members of the PAW team, our wonderful sponsors, the artists and the schools for helping to facilitate these workshops and help us to encourage creativity to flourish 🎨We can't wait for 2027! ...

✨ Meet the PAW team ✨ Whilst we are busy working towards the next Purbeck Art Weeks, we wanted to spotlight some of our 'behind the scenes' team 🙌First up - Clara, the face behind our social media! "I love being a part of PAW, as I believe that getting people involved in art and spreading creativity is an incredibly important cause. I particularly love getting out and about to visit the open studios - meeting the artists and seeing their process behind what they make is very rewarding and eye-opening. I run the social media for PAW - I am usually creating content, engaging with our online community and will be the person you hear from if you message us or comment! Outside of PAW, I work in marketing at Dorset Wildlife Trust and am keen on birdwatching and wildlife friendly gardening. I also run my own creative business as a signwriter! This is a practice that has developed over the last few years and I am never happier than with a paintbrush and mahl stick in my hand. I have painted on many objects - my most recent favourite being a vintage American pick-up truck 🛻I am very excited for PAW 2027 - it's shaping up to have some very interesting new elements. I am also excited to see the range of art and artists we have apply this year, particularly through our new young artists scheme!"And that’s a little more about Clara 💛 Keep an eye out for our next 'Meet the Team' post, where we’ll be shining the spotlight on another member of our wonderful PAW team! ...
